Tags let you classify your contacts according to their actions in your funnel. This allows you to store information about your customers, which you can use later to create and send emails. Classifying your contacts is important because it helps to personalize the follow-up information you can share with your customers in the future. Tags help you categorize or separate different groups of contacts. In ClickFunnels, you can create your tags, or you can also tag existing contacts.
Requirements
An active ClickFunnels account
Adding a New Contact Tag
Navigate to Workspace Settings in the sidebar menu, click Tags, and then select Contacts.
Click Add Tag in the upper-right corner of the Contact Tags page.
In the New Contact Tag Details screen:
Name: Enter a unique name for the tag (e.g., "VIP Customers").
Color: Select a color to visually distinguish the tag.
Click Create Tag to save the new tag.
Managing Contact Tags
Edit a Tag:
Locate the tag you want to edit in the Contact Tags list.
Click the gear (âš™) icon next to the tag.
Update the Name or Color as needed.
Click Update Tag to save your changes.
Delete a Tag:
Find the tag you want to delete in the Contact Tags list.
Click the trash icon next to the tag.
Confirm the deletion in the pop-up prompt by clicking Proceed.
Adding Tags to Existing Contacts
Click Customers > Contacts from the left-hand main menu.
Check the box next to each contact you want to manage.
Once your contacts are selected:
For single contacts, click Actions to manage that contact.
For multiple contacts, click Bulk Actions to apply changes to all selected contacts at once.
Click Tag from the Actions or Bulk Actions menu.
Select whether to Add or Remove a tag, then choose the relevant tag.
The tag will be applied immediately. To schedule the tagging process for later, check the Schedule box and select a date.
Click Perform tag action.
